Hi all,
Just a heads up that I have a new podcast, simply named “The Graham Joseph Hill Podcast”.
I’m learning about podcasting as I go, and I hope the episodes enrich people’s faith and life in some small way.
New episodes are released weekly, and the first 5 episodes cover:
1. Exvangelicals and the Exodus: Deconstruction and the Future of Faith
2. Love in the Age of Algorithms: God’s Children in an Age of AI
3. The Cross and the Flag: Following Jesus in an Age of Political Idolatry
4. A Place at the Table: Singleness, Loneliness, and the Family of God
5. The Rumour of God: Is Secularism Actually Dying?
Podcast Description
A theologian who’s done the reading, following the Jesus Way through the hardest questions facing Christians and the world, with depth, honesty, and hope.
I’m Graham Joseph Hill, and I research and write every episode myself, then think it through with you the way two people might talk across a kitchen table. These are long-form, deeply researched explorations of faith, justice, spirituality, culture, and the global church. You won’t always land where I land, and that’s the point. On each topic, I’ll lay out the strongest case on every side, go deep into what the Bible and the Christian tradition actually say, draw in history, philosophy, science, and sociology, and ask what it all means for how we live now. Every episode ends where I believe the gospel leads: in hope. And I close each one by recommending three books that have shaped my thinking, in case you want to go further.
We take on the questions people are genuinely wrestling with. Faith and honest doubt. Anxiety, grief, burnout, and the care of the soul. The global church, and what Majority World Christians can teach the West. Following Jesus in a post-Christian Australia. Power, gender, sexuality, and who gets to lead. Technology and the shape of the human person. Justice for refugees, the poor, the imprisoned, and the land. Science and the case for God. Politics when the nation pulls the church sideways. Indigenous justice and reconciliation. And the slow, steady work of prayer and formation. No topic is off limits.
If you’re looking for Christianity engaged with mind and heart together, thoughtful, fair to the people it disagrees with, grounded in Scripture, honest about the hardest things, and alive to the present moment, you’ll be at home here.
Graham Joseph Hill (OAM, PhD) is an Australian theologian and the author of more than thirty books, and an Adjunct Research Fellow and Associate Professor in the School of Theology at Charles Sturt University.

A new book for the journey: releasing July 28If something here has stirred you toward the way of Jesus, you might find a companion in my new book, Ten Movements of the Jesus Way: Shifting from Worldly Self-Interest to Radical Discipleship, releasing with IVP on July 28, 2026. We’re living in a fractured moment, pulled apart by political polarization, performative religion, consumerism, nationalism, and widening inequality. The book offers an alternative: the slow, countercultural, life-giving path of Jesus. Across ten movements, from material success to spiritual riches, from power to servanthood, from exclusion to embrace, it traces a discipleship shaped by humility, justice, generosity, and love. Rooted in Scripture and drawing on the wisdom of African, Asian, Indigenous, and Latin American Christian traditions, it’s a prophetic invitation back to the radical road Jesus walked, and a hopeful vision for a church longing to reflect Christ again. Every chapter closes with questions for reflection, making it a companion for personal devotion, book clubs, and small groups. Preorder your copy now at IVP, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or Bookshop.org. Also available as an audiobook. |
